our story
We are a group of passionate individuals, each with our own expertise, dedicated to sharing the narratives behind exquisite Japanese delicacies, including premium sake, Japanese whisky, contemporary Japanese cuisine, charcoal-grilled yakitori, and more.
Our team includes a sake sommelier who takes pride in a background in sake brewing in his hometown in Japan, as well as experience at a sake bar in Vancouver. He has joined forces with our head chef, who originates from Osaka and has refined her skills in Japanese culinary arts over numerous years in Vancouver and Toronto.
Our mission is to enrich your evening with an experience that touches not only your palate but also your heart, making it truly memorable.

***The kitchen shuts down 30 minutes before the restaurant closes.
RISING SUN POP-UP & CATERING is now taking over our kitchen during the weekday lunch hours (Tuesday to Friday 11:30am-3:00pm) as a permanent pop-up Ramen shop at Tipsy Samurai.
